Hyun Kim is the city administrator for Gillette. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position and his service and assistance on the Energy Capital ED board is very welcome. Hyun has more than nine years of experience working in Wyoming in both the private and public sectors.
“I owe my career to Wyoming,” Kim said June 15 during a Gillette City Council pre-meeting. He first came to Wyoming in 2008 to work in banking while serving Teton, Sublette, and Uinta counties.
Kim’s first public administrative role came about in Pinedale, where he worked as the community development director before moving on to become the Town Administrator in Afton and eventually on to serve as the City Administrator in Fife, Washington.
He has both an undergraduate and a master’s degree in public administration in addition to a master’s degree in business administration.
